Log In Troubleshooting

    • Safari browser conflict
Our software partner has identified a conflict with Safari version 13.0.4. It seems that this version presents a cookies warning to the user, even though your cookie settings may be correct, and will not allow login to proceed. There are reports of this happening on many different sites and it is not something AMCAW or our software partner can resolve. We hope that Apple/Safari will correct this problem soon. In the meantime, you may not be able to access your AMCAW account using this version ofSafari. Please use Chrome or Firefox as an alternative. We apologize for this inconvenience.
    • Reset your password
If you don’t see the reset email in your inbox, check your spam/junk/other/promotions folder.
    • Clear your cache
If you know that your password is correct or if you are still not getting passed the login screen after resetting your password you may need to delete your browser cache. Be aware that clearing the cache also clears the browser history so save any web pages with bookmarks before you clear the cache.
Chrome – Go to the Chrome menu and select ‘Clear Browsing Data’. On the screen that pops up select ‘All Time’ to make sure you have completely cleared the cached files.
Firefox – Go to the ‘History’ tab on the menu bar and click on ‘Clear All History’. Make sure the cache box is ticked and click ‘Clear Now’.
Safari – Go to the ‘Develop’ tab on the menu bar and select ‘Empty Caches’. It may also help to clear your history by going to the History tab and clicking ‘Clear History’ from the bottom of that menu dropdown.
    • Using a private window
All browsers have the option to use a private window that doesn’t allow your viewing history to be stored. This can be another way to try logging in. On all browsers you will find the option for a private window under the ‘File’ tab on the menu. Firefox and Safari call it a ‘Private Window’ and Chrome calls it an ‘Incognito Window’. Try this option if clearing the cache still doesn’t allow you to login.
      • Cross-tracking cookies
Our Membership platform uses cross-tracking cookies to enable you to login. If you have your browser set to not allow cross-tracking or third party cookies you will not be able to see the login fields on the login page.

Safari – to enable cross-tracking open Safari and click on the word Safari (top left of screen) – click preferences then privacy. You need to untick the Website tracking (Prevent cross-site tracking) and Cookies and website data (block all cookies). You should then see the login fields. If you wish to browse the internet and not be tracked after this use a private window (see Using a private window)

        Chrome
        – to enable cross-tracking open Chrome and click on the word Chrome (top left of screen) – click preferences and a screen called settings should open. Click on Privacy and security on the left side menu and you’ll see your cookie settings (Cookies and other site data) at the top of the page. Click on that link and make sure Block third-party cookies is not highlighed in blue. Also check that Send a ‘Do Not Track’ request with your browsing traffic is not enabled. You can enable Block third-party cookies in Incognito as that will not affect the login.

If you use a different browser then search for how to enable cross-tracking cookies on (insert browser name).
