Creating Committees
Oct 31, 2018 | News, Teams
AMCAW’s committees will be the engines that propel the organization forward and deliver on its promises. As an all-volunteer organization, there’s no staff standing by to do this work. For now, it’s just us.
Throughout our initial launch, we have heard from about 100 of you who indicated your committee preferences. We are grateful for your interest and for taking the time to respond to our queries. Unfortunately, today, we must ask you to answer these questions again.

Why are we asking again? Well, there are a few reasons.
- We changed the definitions and responsibilities of several of the committees.
- The first time around, we tried to use our membership management software to collect committee preferences, but the format of the data was difficult to work with and we weren’t able to capture enough information to get the job done.
- Only about one-third of our members have completed their profiles, meaning most members have never seen the question about committee preferences.
We now have the technology and the process ironed out to make for a smoother and more complete analysis of committee interest. We are so grateful for those of you who want to dig in and work to help shape the future of metal clay. Once we have compiled our committee lists based on the results of this survey, we will reach out to you individually to proceed.
